Placement Diversion Program
Placement Diversion Program- Reduces the risks of delinquent youth in the 7th Judicial District from being placed outside of the home through helping youth redirect their thinking and reasoning processes and behaviors. Referrals must come from Juvenile Court. Supported by Scott County Kids.
Brief Intensive Services in Johnson and Scott counties
In-home, family-centered, strength-based counseling services to Johnson and Scott County youth ages 6-17 and their families at no cost to them for up to 6 months. Anyone may call to receive these services or make a referral.
Building Family Strengths
In-home counseling, skill development, information and referral at no cost to individuals and families in Cedar and Muscatine counties. Supported by United Way of Muscatine, Theisen\'s, and Community Foundation of Cedar County.
In-Home Nurturing Parent Program for Benton, Iowa, and Johnson counties
The In-Home Nurturing Parent Program for Benton, Iowa, and Johnson counties will allow our trained in-home family counselors to focus on using a parenting curriculum developed by Dr. Stephen J. Bavolek that has a proven record. The lessons include: Understanding Feelings, Alternatives to Spanking, Communicating with Respect, Building Self-Worth in Children, Praising Children & their Behavior, Ages & Stages of Growth, The Philosophy and Practices of Nurturing Parenting, Learning Positive Ways to Deal with Stress & Anger, Understanding & Developing Family Morals, Values & Rules, and Ways to Enhance Positive Brain Development in Children & Teens. This program focuses on serving kids age 6+ in Benton County and birth-17 in Iowa County; however, we are able to serve families with children birth to 17 in Benton, Iowa, and Johnson counties. Supported by CBCAP and Benton-Iowa DECAT and Johnson County DECAT.
Behavioral Health Intervention Services
Skill development services available in-home to families with children on Title 19 and who have an assessment determining a diagnosis.
Child Mental Health Waiver Services
Includes therapy, family & community support, and respite for families and children approved for the waiver and referred by a case manager.
Includes tracking, monitoring and outreach for youth on probation. Must be referred by a Juvenile Court Officer for children on probation in Scott, Muscatine, and Cedar counties.
Community Services Program
Coordination and supervision of community service for youth in Cedar and Muscatine counties referred by Juvenile Court.
Functional Family Therapy
Available in the 7th Judicial District and must be referred by a Juvenile Court Officer for children on probation assessed to be in need of FFT.
Outpatient Therapy Program
Offers therapy services to individuals and families in order to limit and/or reverse the course of mental health problems with a goal of renewed capacity to function more effectively in work, relationship and family life. Therapy is provided by licensed Social Workers and licensed Mental Health Counselors.
Adoption/Custody Home Studies
Home studies can be purchased on a private pay basis.
School Based Therapy
Provides individual therapy to children in the schools in Columbus Junction. East Buchanan, Jessup, Maquoketa Valley, Oelwein, Tipton, Vinton, West Branch and West Delaware by a licensed mental health provider.
Crisis Counseling & Intervention Services
Available to youth and families in need of mental health services in Buchanan, Delaware, and Fayette counties.
Aggression Replacement Therapy
Available to youth with informal Juvenile Court adjustments in group settings in the Buchanan, Delaware, and Fayette area.
Circles Of Support
Groups held in Buchanan, Delaware, and Fayette counties intended to encourage inclusiveness and connections with others to build support. Supported by Building Direction for Families.
Intellectual Disability Waiver
Provides supported community living and respite services for children referred by a case manager.
Habilitation Services
Provides individualized services and supports for individuals referred by a case manager.
Brain Injury Waiver
Services for people with a specific brain injury diagnosis to allow them to live in the community. Referred by a case manager.
